Suspension
The quality of the suspension in a 3 wheel double buggy is essential to how it is easy for you and your baby/s to push. A smooth ride is essential as babies can feel every bump in the road, especially when it's on rough terrain like grass or unpaved paths. Some models also have front wheels that lock to assist in maneuvering and navigating obstacles such as curbs.
Some models use air-filled tyres which will provide a fantastic all-terrain ride, but can be prone to punctures, so ensure you have spares in the trunk. Others have foam or gel tyres, designed to take the bumps and can be less susceptible to punctures, but you might feel a bit stiff and uncomfortable for your child's back if you decide to jog.

Folding
A 3-wheel double buggy can fold very easily to store it. There are models that fold flat, stand up (as as if they were a pushchair) and others that pop out to reveal a more umbrella-style folding, with the option of a hand-operated break. The more wheels a buggy is equipped with, in general, the easier it is to maneuver on rough terrain. This is especially relevant if the wheels are larger than average - this will provide you with more stability and decrease the likelihood that your children will tip or flip over.
The iCandy Wave is a popular choice. It can be used with an infant car-seat as early as birth, and later converted to a double buggy when your child is old. It's a lightweight option that is easy to push. It also comes with a bumper bar as well as a rain cover.
